Evaluation

-In What ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

-How does your media product represent particular social groups?

This first photo is the same photo i decided to use for my front cover , The only problem was it was too far away so what i decided to do was zoom in and work on my front cover seeing a medium-close up as the background main image. I chose this as my front cover simply because it's the symbolises what i wanted this magazine to be. Serious and charismatic. The one on the left is wearing a new york knicks jersey and a hat that is been worn sideways and is putting on a certain face that makes him relaxed and doesn't have a care in the world, the reason I made him wear his jersey is because some people associate New York with Some Hip-Hop musicians This is also provided with the Hat he i swearing is a New York Yankee's hat, Being associated with the stereotype of hip-hop with New york and graffiti as you can see in the background of the picture.
-What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
The media institution that would probably decide on my magazine would be BT. This is because due to recent increase in sales and popularity across the nation, BT are starting to become what is known as a conglomerate (company of companies). They Haven't had much leap on the music industry however. If they did choose my magazine they would be able to compete with other conglomerates including Sky and Sony.

-Who would be the audience for your media product?

-How did you attract/address your audience?
I had an interview with a member of my audience and here is how it went:
-First of all do you like Magazine?: Yes the front cover shows a very nice colour and the articles are interesting to look at and they are laid out very professionally, The contents looks like i have seen it before, never the less, everything was placed very well and very informative. The double page spread was eye catching i especially like the background image making this band seem like superstars.
-On the topic of eye catching what did you find, specifically in the front cover, eye catching?:If i could say what is eye catching is how much space the band takes up, They appear to be the main image and the cover makes them look big and important, Plus the colour scheme is something that would catch my eye.
Finally would you buy this magazine?: To be honest, I Not the kind of person that buys magazines but i would defiantly recommend this to a friend.
-What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
I have used many of modern day technologies to make this magazine, in which there have been some useful features and some moments that have generally frustrated me.
blogger, I use this to post my media work so i have submitted work and if anything is wrong i need to make a couple of tweaks here and there, then blogger allows me to do so. The good thing is that its free, and has been very helpful with my coursework. if i could say anything bad about it, it would probably be the layout, It is confusing and complicated. Photoshop is what I used to make my music front cover, contents page and Double-page spread, The good thing is that there is an endless amount of possibilities and techniques that I can use for photoshop That help me make my magazine. What i do not like about photoshop is that its hard to control, in some cases it almost like it has a mind of its own. The camera that i used for my photo shoot was a Nikon Coolpix L320. I used this to take my pictures on location of my magazine. I liked the quality of the pictures as they make them look professional and extravagant, Defiantly good enough for a magazine. I wouldn't say there was much i didn't like but if they were i would say that it isn't the easiest machine in the world to try and figure out how it works.
